The same with the pillows. They end up clumping into balls and become useless. I loved them (in the beginning) so much, that I repurchased more hoping the quality improved. Unfortunately they haven't figured a way to keep the filling from redistributing itself into clumps in random places. I'm sure the 5 stars are from folks that rated in the first month of using the products. I really wish they lasted longer.
I had also discussed the clumping with employees at the store the I bought them at and they were aware of the issue.

Soft and perfect for all season, April 14, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Better than Down All-Season Comforter I got mine on November last year and I used it without washing first for 5 months because I read the reviews that says it'd come apart after you washed it so I figured if anything, I'd have a good use of it during winter and that's it. I recently washed it and did everything the label said to do. It was dry and fluffy again. I worried for nothing. I did however found some of the stitching to rip and while it's no big deal now, I feel that it may not last as long as I had hoped.
Here in Philly especially since I live in a basement with tiled flooring, can be so cold even with the radiator on at the max. I feel that it can be comfortably used without feeling too hot or too cold when it's between 30-65 degree out. You may need to have an additional blanket or two on top to seal the body heat when it's down to freezing. I used a summer comforter and it was great!

Comfy, October 22, 2010 This review is from: Better than Down All-Season Comforter I searched all over the internet for a good quality comforter yet reasonably priced. It is fluffy, soft, and oh so comfortable. If I had to say anything negative...it's slightly transparent in some places but that doesn't seem to effect anything. It keeps me warm but not too hot which is perfect for me.
