The Silk Filling Makes All the Difference, January 14, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase Wow! This is the best comforter I've ever owned and I will never buy another one unless it has the silk insulation. The comforter is extremely light, so it doesn't take two people to straighten it out every morning. It is also unbelievably soft ... the moment you cover yourself, the blanket drapes softly around your body so there are no chilly air gaps to contend with. Although this is considered to be a summer comforter, it has kept me warm through all four seasons.(I turn my household heat off at night and it's not unusual for the room to drop to around 60 degrees when I sleep.) Remarkably, I don't overheat during our hot summers, either. If you are looking for a really soft, snuggly, lightweight comforter, this is the blanket for you. My only recommendation is that you spend an extra few dollars and get a duvet cover for it. Odor, April 15, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Natural Comfort Ultra Deluxe 100-Percent Natural Mulberry Silk Filled Dobby White Comforter for Summer, Queen (Kitchen) I really liked the comforter, I ordered a queen initially. I put the blanket outside to air it out and it smelled good. I ordered another queen and twin . But once I put the comforter in the duvet to protect the comforters, there was a smell which will not dissipate . I tried to air it out but the smell was too mcuh.
Both my queen comforters smelled bad so I ended up returning it.It is strange that it didn't smell initially otherwise I wouldn't have ordered others.
Strangely my twin comforter which I bought for my son was good and he liked it so much.It didn't have any smell .
